Iran’s ‘The Zoo’ to vie at Adana Golden Boll

Iranian short flick ‘The Zoo’ has been set to compete at the International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival in Turkey.

Written and directed by Nafiseh Zare and produced by Kaveh Mazaheri and Sourena Ekbatani, the short flick will go on screen at the competition section of the 29th edition of the Turkish gala.

A short synopsis of the flick reads, “Among the animals in the zoo, Rana is looking for a deer she has been dreaming of, and her mother is looking for the right opportunity to tell her the important news.”

The cast list of the short includes Sonia Sanjari, Tarannom Ahangar, and Daryoush Reshadat.

‘The Zoo’ has already gone on screen at some global events, including the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa and the International Film Festival – FERFILM in Kosovo.

The International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in Turkey.

The 29th edition of the event is slated for September 12-18, 2022.
